Awilco AS was established in 1939 and is a private shipowning company located in Oslo (Norway) focusing on investments in and operation of shipping assets. The company has owned and operated vessels within various shipping and offshore (oil service) segments and has an extensive in-house commercial and technical competence coupled with a strong track-record. Awilco is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AWILHELMSEN AS.

The company owns and operates three Suezmax tankers (double hull) in the spot market for transportation of crude oil. Awilco AS is well positioned for the future shipping market due to its strong liquidity and subsequent ability to invest. Awilco also founded and holds a majority stake in the UK based drilling company, Awilco Drilling PLC, which owns and operates the two semi submersible drilling units: WilHunter and WilPhoenix. The company has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (Oslo Axess) with the ticker code AWDR. Awilco is also the founder and largest shareholder of the company Awilco LNG ASA which is listed on Oslo Stock Exchange (Oslo Axess) with the ticker code ALNG. ALNG owns and operates LNG vessels intended for international trade. The company currently owns three 125.000 cbm LNG vessels: WilGas, WilPower and WilEnergy.
